„We have just passed a law governing the share of women on our major corporate supervisory boards. But even the best law will only be fully effective when it is supported by a commitment throughout society. “Chefsache: Drive the Change – For Men and Women“ represents this vital commitment. And therefore I am delighted to be the initiative’s sponsor.“

Equal opportunities in leadership positions is a topic close to the heart of the Chef:innensache initiative’s sponsor, German Chancellor Angela Merkel. In her speech at the kick-off event, she emphasized the importance of getting men involved in the discourse on gender equality. “We simply have to ask ourselves: How can we get men to be more open to diversification and to potentially taking on tasks that women have traditionally taken care of in the past?”
